In my opinion, it would have a 3.0 mm hot-dip galvanized steel frame, 150 mm sprayed polyurethane foam, aluminum honeycomb panels for the interior, and 4 mm solid aluminum panels for the exterior.
To be frank, you don't see many capsule houses built to this specification on the market today. But I've noticed buyers starting to ask for it, and some factories have actually made units this way.
Why is a truly luxurious specification so rare?
Because it's expensive.
For example, the carbon-crystal panels or bamboo-fiber panels commonly used for interiors cost us around RMB 50–60 per square meter. Aluminum honeycomb panels are RMB 300+ per square meter.
That's roughly five to six times the material cost for the interior finish alone.
And there's another problem: specifications are often overstated.
I don't know how many buyers actually check the thickness of every material when their capsule house arrives. From what I've personally seen, overstated specifications are still common in 2026.
They all look similar in photos
If you haven't experienced these buildings in person, it's hard to judge the difference in material quality from photographs.
And you certainly can't judge the real insulation against cold, heat, or noise from a photo.
This kind of specification hasn't become mainstream yet, either. Many factories and buyers haven't really explored it.
How different is it from a regular capsule house?
- The look and feel. People who understand materials or have a good eye for design can usually tell. If aesthetics aren't your thing, you may need to experience the building in person to appreciate the difference.
- The specifications and performance. Several major material specifications may be doubled. I'd expect a significant improvement in performance, although that doesn't mean every performance measurement literally doubles.
- The price. It can be double the price of a regular configuration.
How do you order a truly luxurious capsule house in 2026?
If you're not satisfied with what the market normally calls a “high-end” specification, email sales@reachtophouse.com.
Tell us you're looking for the most luxurious capsule house we can build, not just a regular high-end configuration.
One warning in advance: this kind of capsule house could cost two or even three times as much as a conventional high-end version.
